The D400 tongue gate valve is designed to shut off or regulate the flow of the working medium in pipelines with a diameter of up to 400 mm. The design of the valve provides reliable sealing, durability and ease of maintenance when operating in water supply, sewage, technological and industrial pipelines. The valve is installed in the tank of treatment facilities to control the flow of wastewater or technological water.
The gate valve is used to shut off or regulate the flow of liquid, pasty or bulk media transported by pipelines. The main scope of application is water supply systems, sewage systems, treatment plants, industrial enterprises and hydraulic engineering facilities. Due to the resistant materials of the structure and the tightness of the seals, the gate valve works effectively in conditions of high humidity, contact with sewage or aggressive media.

The valve consists of a body, a gate valve (valve tongue), sealing plates with rubber pads, a worm-screw drive and a flywheel. The body is made of stainless steel. AISI 304 5 mm thick, by laser cutting and bending, which ensures high manufacturing accuracy and corrosion resistance. Ball screw (screw mechanism) is made of black metal with a brass insert that has an internal thread. This combination of materials ensures smooth movement, durability and minimal friction during operation. The design allows for easy disassembly for preventive maintenance or repair.
The operation of the valve is based on the transmission of torque through a worm gear to a screw pair. When the flywheel rotates, the slide valve moves forward, closing or opening the passage. The full cycle of raising or lowering the slide valve takes approximately 2 minutes, which allows for controlled and smooth movement. Thanks to the brass insert in the screw assembly, reliable grip with minimal thread wear is ensured.
The valve is installed in a vertical position in the tank of the treatment plant or between the flanges of the pipeline. Installation is carried out by bolting the body to the flanges of the pipeline or the mounting frame. Before installation, it is necessary to clean the sealing surfaces, check the condition of the bolted connections and the alignment of the holes. After installation, the smoothness of the movement and the tightness of the connections are checked.
During operation, the valve must be opened and closed smoothly, without sudden movements. The average time of a full cycle is about 2 minutes, which guarantees an optimal level of load on the mechanism. It is forbidden to apply excessive force when fully closing. The maintenance schedule includes cleaning the gate valve, lubricating the screw assembly and checking the integrity of the rubber seals.
Regular maintenance includes cleaning of moving parts, inspection of seals and screw mechanism. The screw and worm gear must be lubricated at least once every six months. It is recommended to use greases such as Litol-24 or equivalent. If the brass insert is worn, it can be replaced without dismantling the entire assembly.
Before servicing or repairing the valve, it is necessary to relieve pressure and drain the working medium. When working in the tank of the treatment plant, personnel must use personal protective equipment, including gloves, overalls and a respirator. The work must be performed by qualified personnel in accordance with labor protection requirements.
